Da Brat & Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart Pen Powerful Love Story Set for 2026 Release

Amistad, the celebrated imprint of HarperCollins Publishers known for amplifying Black voices, has announced the upcoming release of The Way Love Goes: A Guide to Building a “Beaurtiful” and Everlasting Relationship—a deeply personal and inspiring new book by hip-hop trailblazer Da Brat and beauty mogul Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart. Slated to hit shelves on February 3, 2026, the work promises readers a front-row seat into their journey of love, resilience, and unapologetic authenticity.

Patrik Henry Bass, Executive Editor of Amistad Group, secured the world rights from Ashley A. Coleman of Europa Content. The audiobook will be narrated by the couple themselves. “Many readers are going to be surprised, in the most wonderful ways, at the joy, honesty, humor, and ‘real-ness’ on every page,” Bass shares. “It’s a testament to the power of love and friendship.”

From Private Lives to Public Love Story

For years, Da Brat—one of hip-hop’s most influential figures—kept her personal life away from public scrutiny. That changed when she crossed paths with Judy, a magnetic New Orleans–born entrepreneur whose presence sparked an undeniable connection. Though life initially pulled them in separate directions, fate reunited the two, and their love story unfolded for the world to see on their hit reality series Brat Loves Judy.

Since then, they’ve built not only a marriage but a family—welcoming their son, True Legend Harris-Dupart—and forged a dynamic partnership as spouses, parents, and creative collaborators.

Beyond Romance: A Blueprint for Lasting Love

The Way Love Goes is part memoir, part guide—a blend of candid reflections, hard-earned wisdom, and actionable advice. The couple opens up about navigating challenges, dismantling emotional barriers, celebrating individuality, and nurturing trust. Their “golden rules” aim to help readers find, protect, and grow love that lasts.

“This isn’t just our story—it’s a love manual for anyone ready to build something real,” the pair share in the book’s introduction.
