K. Michelle is stepping into a bold new chapter of her career with the announcement of Jesus & Whiskey, her first-ever full-length Country album, arriving October 16, 2026. The multi-platinum singer-songwriter continues to redefine expectations, embracing the genre that first inspired her while staying true to the soulful storytelling that has made her one of music’s most distinctive voices.
Alongside the album announcement, K. Michelle has released the project’s deeply personal title track, “Jesus & Whiskey,” a heartfelt reflection on faith, grace, healing, and the reality of imperfect living. Rather than presenting faith through perfection, the song offers an honest perspective on believing in God while navigating life’s struggles.
Written by K. Michelle, ERNEST, Jordan Dozzi, and Rocky Block, the emotionally rich ballad combines delicate piano melodies, expressive guitar work, and traditional Country instrumentation to create one of her most vulnerable recordings to date. The song’s message challenges the idea that spirituality must fit within a single mold, instead embracing authenticity and personal faith.
Produced by Kristian Bush, Jesus & Whiskey features nine tracks that blend classic Country storytelling with Southern soul and K. Michelle’s signature emotional honesty. Throughout the project, she explores themes of heartbreak, redemption, love, resilience, and self-discovery while honoring the Country influences that shaped her long before she became an R&B superstar.

The album also continues the momentum she built with “Jack Daniel’s,” the fiery Country single that introduced fans to this new era. While that record showcased bold confidence, Jesus & Whiskey reveals a softer, more reflective side of the artist, highlighting her remarkable vocal range and storytelling abilities.
Earlier today, K. Michelle brought the title track to national television with its debut performance on Live with Kelly and Mark, giving audiences their first live look at the song. She’ll continue celebrating this exciting career milestone with an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this Sunday following the season finale of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Long before topping the R&B charts, K. Michelle’s love for Country music was deeply rooted in her upbringing. Raised on legendary artists spanning both R&B and Country, she even earned a music scholarship to Florida A&M University thanks in part to her exceptional yodeling abilities. After building a remarkable career that includes five consecutive Billboard-charting albums, she is now returning to the genre that first ignited her passion for music.
Released through Real Outlawz Records, Inc. under exclusive license to BBR Music Group, Jesus & Whiskey represents more than a genre shift. It reflects an artist fully embracing every part of her musical identity while joining a growing movement of Black artists helping reshape the future of Country music.
Set for release on October 16, Jesus & Whiskey promises to be one of K. Michelle’s most personal and defining projects to date.
