Motown Gospel Earns 11 GMA Dove Award Nominations Led by Jonathan McReynolds, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Tye Tribbett & Pastor Mike Jr.
Motown Gospel is celebrating another milestone year as the label has earned 11 nominations for the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, recognizing a remarkable year of worship, artistry, and musical excellence from its acclaimed roster of Gospel artists.
Leading this year’s nominations are Jonathan McReynolds, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Tye Tribbett, Pastor Mike Jr., and JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, whose music continues to inspire listeners while helping shape the future of Gospel music around the world.
The label received recognition across several major categories, including Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year, Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year, Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year, Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year, and Traditional Gospel Album of the Year.
“We are incredibly proud of our artists and creative teams whose passion, excellence and unwavering commitment to their craft continue to elevate Gospel music around the world,” said Walter Thomas, Executive Vice President of Motown Gospel. “These 11 Dove Award nominations are a meaningful recognition of their impact, and we are honored to celebrate this achievement with the Gospel Music Association.”
Among the standout nominations are Jonathan McReynolds’ “One Good God (Live)” in the Gospel Worship Recorded Song category and his collaboration with Jamal Roberts, “Still (Live),” in Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year.
Tasha Cobbs Leonard earned multiple nominations with “Already Good (Tasha Slide)” and her collaboration with John Legend on “Church,” while her acclaimed album TASHA is also nominated for Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year.
Tye Tribbett received recognition for “Yahweh Flow (Live In San Francisco),” featuring Jocelyn Bowman, D’nar Young, Jewell Jones, and Jalisa Faye, while his album Only On The Road (Live) is nominated in the Contemporary Gospel Album category.
Pastor Mike Jr. also secured multiple nominations with “Sunday Morning,” alongside Tauren Wells, and for his album Confetti & Conspiracies: The Amen Mixtape.
Rounding out the label’s honors, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise earned a nomination for Traditional Gospel Album of the Year with The Live Reunion: Washington, DC (Live / Deluxe).
The 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, presented in partnership with the Cantinas Arts Foundation, will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The awards ceremony will air on TBN and the TBN+ App on Friday, October 9, with additional broadcasts and simulcasts extending the celebration to Gospel audiences nationwide.
With 11 nominations spanning both songs and albums, Motown Gospel continues to affirm its place as one of Gospel music’s leading labels, championing artists whose music inspires faith, excellence, and lasting cultural impact.
