40 Years of Glory: The Stellar Gospel Music Awards Returns to Celebrate Faith, Legacy, and Sound
The gospel industry’s most electrifying night is back—and this time, it’s making history. Central City Productions proudly presents the 40th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, honoring the brightest voices and deepest devotion in gospel music today. Set against the elegant backdrop of Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Saturday, August 16, 2025, this milestone celebration promises an unforgettable evening of praise, power, and purpose.
Now in its fourth decade, the Stellar Awards continue to serve as more than just a ceremony—it’s a cultural cornerstone. Don Jackson, founder of the Stellars and Chairman of Central City Productions, captures it best:
“We honor not just the genre of gospel music, but the legacy of our history, our faith, our culture, and our community.”
This year, the stars align with Pastor Mike Jr. and Jason Nelson leading the nominations with nine nods each, including coveted titles like Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. Close behind, gospel powerhouse CeCe Winans follows with eight nominations, reinforcing her divine presence in categories like Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for her soul-stirring project More Than This.
But it doesn’t stop there—fan favorites like Tamela Mann, Deitrick Haddon, Dorinda Clark-Cole, and newcomers like Adia and Micah Lee are being celebrated for their continued impact and innovation in gospel music. The spirit of excellence is alive and well, and fans will have their say too: Fan Favorite Voting, powered by Tide, is open from June 16 to July 18, 2025, allowing the public to help crown the winners in Urban Single or Performance of the Year and Praise and Worship Song of the Year.
This year’s event extends beyond the main show with Stellar Plus Week (August 14–16)—a full-scale experience featuring masterclasses, fashion shows, comedy showcases, and more, sponsored by Chevy and Aflac.
