Atlanta Black Pride Weekend and Global Black Pride are proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership to host the inaugural Global Black Pride event in Atlanta. Scheduled from August 26th to September 2nd, this historic occasion marks only the second in-person Global Black Pride, following its inaugural celebration in Toronto in 2022.
Grand Marshal and Theme
The theme for this year’s event is “Love and Legacy,” celebrating the enduring impact of love within the Black LGBTQIA+ community and the importance of preserving their rich cultural heritage. Stay tuned for the official announcement of this year’s Grand Marshal, a pivotal figure in Atlanta Black Pride, embodying leadership and inspiration within the community.
A Week of Diversity and Celebration
The week-long celebration will feature a diverse range of activities, reflecting the vibrancy and diversity of the Black LGBTQIA+ community. Highlights include:
- A two-day music festival
- Global Black Village
- Atlanta Black Pride Weekend Awards Gala & Influencer Dinner
- Global Black LGBTQIA+ Human Rights and Health Conference
- Atlanta Black Pride Weekend Empowerment Brunches

Pure Heat Community Festival and The Youth Festival
Notable events include the Pure Heat Community Festival and The Annual Youth Festival, both held on Sunday, September 1st at Piedmont Park. The Pure Heat Community Festival offers a free outdoor experience featuring live music, food, outreach, and award-winning entertainment. Concurrently, The Youth Festival provides a safe space within the festivities for young members of the Black LGBTQIA+ community, focusing on engagement and empowerment.
