The countdown is officially on. From July 25 to 27, the heart of the Midwest will beat louder, smoother, and with more soul than ever before as the 2024 Cincinnati Music Festival returns to light up the Queen City. With one of the most iconic lineups in recent years, this festival is more than a music event — it’s a cultural movement wrapped in rhythm, legacy, and community.
For three days, Cincinnati will transform into a living celebration of Black music. From hip-hop pioneers and R&B legends to rising stars and cultural tributes, the stage is set for an unforgettable experience.
Thursday, July 25 – The Hip-Hop Kickoff
The festival officially opens Thursday night at the Andrew J. Brady Music Center, paying homage to the genre that changed the world: hip-hop. Expect a night of nostalgia, storytelling, and bars that still hit decades later.
The lineup includes:
- MC Lyte, a trailblazer for women in rap and lyrical legend
- KRS-One, known for delivering truth through beats
- EPMD and Black Sheep, who will take us back to the golden age
- And a special DJ set from DJ Vader to set the tone early
This is more than a concert—it’s a celebration of hip-hop’s roots and influence, 50 years strong.

Friday, July 26 – R&B Royalty Takes the Stage
Friday night shifts to Paycor Stadium, where lovers of soulful melodies and powerful performances will find themselves right at home. Prepare for a lineup that blends classic heartache, timeless vocals, and pure musical craftsmanship.
Headliners include:
- Maxwell, whose smooth falsetto and live performances are nothing short of magnetic
- Ne-Yo, bringing the romance, rhythm, and those unforgettable hooks
- Fantasia, delivering powerhouse vocals and raw, emotional truth
- With special performances by October London and The Original Lakeside
Whether you’re slow dancing in the aisles or screaming every lyric at the top of your lungs, Friday night is designed to hit your soul.
Saturday, July 27 – A Grand Finale of Legends
The final night promises a full-circle moment of celebration. Also at Paycor Stadium, the Saturday lineup will bring generations together with some of the most influential voices in R&B and soul.
Here’s who’s closing out the weekend:
- New Edition, reunited with all original members, including Bobby Brown, for a night of timeless choreography and classics
- KEM, delivering smooth ballads with style and substance
- Coco Jones, a rising star whose vocals demand attention
- En Vogue, still redefining what it means to harmonize
- And Stokley, best known as the voice of Mint Condition, adding flair and finesse
This night is both a tribute and a party — a passing of the torch and a reminder of where we’ve been.
