Kingdom Moves: Kirk Franklin Joins Forces with Insignia Assets

The blueprint for Gospel and cultural elevation just got bolder.

Legendary Gospel icon Kirk Franklin has officially partnered with Insignia Assets, a rising Black-owned entertainment powerhouse led by visionaries Norman Gyamfi and Jonathan Jay. The historic collaboration merges Franklin’s creative enterprises—Fo Yo Soul Recordings and CLTRE Lab—with Insignia’s expansive ecosystem, which spans music, film, television, touring, and event production. As part of this new chapter, Franklin has been named Chief of Creative Services at Insignia Assets.

“This partnership is bigger than business,” Franklin shared. “It’s about building a platform where our stories, our faith, and our culture can live and breathe across every screen and stage.”

This announcement comes just ahead of Franklin being honored with the BET Ultimate Icon Award during the 2025 BET Awards on June 9. But the rollout is already in motion. His brand-new single “Do It Again” drops June 6, and a new digital talk series, Den of Kings, will premiere on Father’s Day (June 15) via Franklin’s YouTube channel. The first episode, themed around Fatherhood, features D.C. Young Fly, Kountry Wayne, Lou Young, and Devale Ellis—a dynamic blend of voices and vulnerability.

A Legacy in the Making

At the heart of this partnership is a mission to reshape the way faith-based and Black stories are told, seen, and funded. 3 Diamonds Entertainment, Insignia’s TV and film division, will co-produce a slate of CLTRE Lab’s upcoming projects—investing in both scripted and unscripted narratives that elevate culture and community.

“We’ve worked with Kirk for some time now—from the multi-GRAMMY-winning Kingdom album to producing sold-out arena tours,” said Norman Gyamfi, Insignia’s CEO. “Now, we’re excited to deepen that connection and bring our shared vision to life.”

This union marks more than a business deal—it’s an intergenerational cultural shift, built on faith, excellence, and Black creative power. With a roster that includes Maverick City Music, TRIBL Records, Platform Sounds, and more, Insignia Assets is crafting a new standard of Black ownership, media innovation, and inspired storytelling.
