Simone Green Announces “Black Queen LIVE Tour,” Celebrating Strength, Resilience, and the Power of Black Women

The singer-songwriter and culture activist prepares to bring her empowering music to audiences nationwide with a new City Winery tour.

Singer-songwriter, entrepreneur, and culture activist Simone Green is stepping into a new chapter of her musical journey as she announces the first round of dates for her highly anticipated “Black Queen LIVE Tour.” The national tour, presented at select City Winery locations, marks a significant milestone for the Chicago native as she prepares to headline her own concert series, bringing a message of empowerment, healing, and self-worth to audiences across the country.

The tour will kick off in Green’s hometown of Chicago on January 5 and 6, followed by stops in St. Louis on January 7, Memphis on January 16, Baltimore on January 19, and Boston on January 22. Tickets are currently on sale.

For Green, the upcoming tour represents more than another professional accomplishment. It is the realization of a dream years in the making.

“I am beyond thrilled to be able to headline my own, City Winery tour in various markets. This has been a longtime coming and a dream come to fruition, and I get to kick it off in my home-town of Chicago,” Green shares.

She adds that she looks forward to bringing the Simone Green experience to audiences night after night.

A Musical Celebration of Black Womanhood

At the heart of the tour is Green’s six-track project, “Black Queen,” an album rooted in the strength, resilience, and brilliance of Black women.

More than a collection of songs, the project serves as a declaration of confidence, cultural pride, healing, and personal empowerment.

As a two-time breast cancer survivor, businesswoman, and bandleader, Green has experienced challenges that have shaped both her personal journey and artistic perspective. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her limitations, she has transformed them into music that celebrates perseverance and possibility.

“After everything I’ve experienced in my own life—from surviving breast cancer twice, to building businesses, leading bands, and navigating an industry that often asks women, especially Black women, to make themselves smaller—I wanted to create a body of work that celebrates our power instead of our pain,” Green explains.

She describes the album as a love letter to Black women who have earned every crown they wear.

From “Black Queen” to a Movement of Empowerment

Earlier this year, Green introduced audiences to the album’s title track, “Black Queen,” a powerful anthem celebrating identity, confidence, and self-worth.

The single helped launch her initial Black Queen Promotional Tour, which included appearances in New York, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Chicago.

The song and its accompanying music video also gained exposure through BET Soul, BETher, and BET.com, expanding the reach of Green’s message.

Continuing that musical journey, Green’s next offering from the album is “Breathe,” a soulful reflection on complicated relationships, emotional challenges, and the healing process.

Written by Simone Green and Jeffery Dillard, and produced by Dillard, the track explores the importance of finding peace while navigating life’s difficult moments.

Another standout selection, “The Message,” draws from faith, compassion, and the desire to encourage individuals facing personal struggles.

For Green, the song was inspired by conversations with people experiencing hardship and searching for reassurance that brighter days remain possible.

Through its uplifting message, the record reminds listeners that hope, strength, and faith can provide a foundation for moving forward.

The album also features production contributions from SFR, Jeffery Dillard, and Arnell Newman.

A New Chapter, A Lasting Legacy

As Green prepares to take the “Black Queen LIVE Tour” on the road, her mission extends beyond entertaining audiences. She hopes to create an experience where listeners feel recognized, encouraged, and empowered to embrace their own greatness.

Her journey from surviving life-threatening health challenges to headlining a national concert tour reflects the very message she carries through her music: resilience is powerful, purpose is personal, and one’s voice deserves to be heard.

With the “Black Queen LIVE Tour,” Simone Green is not simply stepping onto a new stage. She is continuing to build a legacy centered on representation, self-love, and the celebration of Black women.

And as audiences prepare to experience her music live, one message remains at the center of it all: wear your crown boldly.
