The wait is finally over. R&B songstress and multi-award-winning platinum artist TWEET has returned to the music scene with a renewed fire, ready to share the pieces of her story fans have longed to hear. Known for her velvety tone and unmatched vulnerability, TWEET is opening the vault and inviting us into a journey she calls Memoirs of a Southern Hummingbird.
The first chapter of that journey begins with her new single, “Toot Toot.” Written by TWEET alongside Walter W. Millsap III, Erick Walls, and James Owens Jr., and produced by Millsap for Conjunction Entertainment Inc.—the powerhouse behind music for Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Brandy, Jennifer Lopez, and more—the track is a soulful reminder of why TWEET’s sound is timeless. With its classic R&B feel and effortless honesty, “Toot Toot” proves that true artistry never fades, it only matures.
“I’ve always wanted to set the record straight about the hiatus… So many unreleased records. I never stopped creating. I kept recording, kept writing, kept living. Now I’m finally in a space to give my fans the real story. All the true gems that never made the cut,” TWEET shares. “This is TWEET! Welcome to the Memoirs of a Southern Hummingbird. 🖤 #ImBack.”

The announcement isn’t just about new music—it’s about closure, transparency, and rebirth. Fans who’ve missed her angelic runs and raw storytelling will now get to experience a body of work straight from the archives of her heart.
Memoirs of a Southern Hummingbird—the highly anticipated full album—is set for release at the top of 2026. Until then, “Toot Toot” sets the tone for what promises to be a defining era, not just for TWEET, but for R&B itself.
The hummingbird is back. And this time, she’s singing her truth.
