On Friday, November 7th, at 7:00 PM, Snubb3d Magazine hosted a spectacular private screening of Sarah’s Oil at Look Dine-In Cinema in Brookhaven, Atlanta, GA, marking the official debut of its new film initiative, Snubb3d At The Movies. The exclusive event drew more than 120 guests, including celebrities, community leaders, and students, for a night that blended film, faith, and culture in true Snubb3d fashion.
Sarah’s Oil—co-executive produced by Ciara and Russell Wilson through their company Why Not You Productions—is inspired by the incredible true story of Sarah Rector, an 11-year-old Black girl from early 1900s Oklahoma who unexpectedly became one of America’s youngest millionaires after oil was discovered on her inherited land. The film beautifully captures themes of faith, family, perseverance, and destiny, shining a light on a powerful piece of Black history often left untold.
The event was graced by an impressive lineup of guests, including Kron Moore (Tyler Perry’s The Oval), Arrington Foster (The Family Business), Paris Bennett (actress and American Idol Season 5 Top 5 Finalist), Rich Auntie Lori (Netflix’s Later Daters), and three-time Grammy-nominated artist James Artissen, Singer-Songwriter Bonita Jalane, and more.
In a special highlight, 20 students from Alcovy High School attended as honored guests, reflecting Snubb3d Magazine’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and youth empowerment. Their participation symbolized the importance of exposing young minds to creative, purpose-driven storytelling.
“This event was about more than just a film—it was about connection, culture, and community,” said Levar “Ramzie” Kemp, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Snubb3d Magazine. “Sarah’s Oil was the perfect project to launch Snubb3d At The Movies because it mirrors our core values—faith, perseverance, and purpose-driven excellence.”
The evening featured a red-carpet experience, a photobooth, and curated music that set the tone for an unforgettable night of film and fellowship. Guests left inspired by the message of Sarah’s Oil and the energy of togetherness that filled the theatre.
Snubb3d At The Movies is a new event series from Snubb3d Magazine, designed to merge entertainment, conversation, and community impact. Each event will take over a theatre for a private screening and exclusive guest experiences, spotlighting stories that inspire, educate, and elevate culture.
