A powerful new chapter in inspirational cinema is unfolding this summer. Finding Faith, a deeply moving and spiritually uplifting feature film, is set to make its nationwide theatrical debut on June 16, thanks to a dynamic collaboration between Summer House Pictures, Black Bench Productions, Third Eye Productions, and Fathom Entertainment—a global leader in specialty content distribution for theaters.
At the heart of this story is Faith Mitchell, played by the radiant Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Precious), whose world is shattered by sudden tragedy. As Faith spirals into emotional darkness, it is the love of her family, her Pastor, and trusted friends that lights the path to her healing. Anchored in the promise that “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning,” Finding Faith explores the painful valleys of loss and the mountaintop moments of rediscovery and renewal.
Guided by Writer-Director LazRael Lison (Style Me for Christmas, Christmas Angel), the film delivers a poignant mix of suspense, grace, and transformation. The story unfolds with an all-star ensemble including Keith David (The Princess and the Frog, They Live), Loretta Devine (Waiting to Exhale, Grey’s Anatomy), Stephen Bishop (Moneyball), Nadine Velazquez (Flight), and Demetrius Grosse (Rampage), who bring rich emotional layers to a tale that is both universal and deeply personal.
Producer Tatiana Chekhova of Summer House Pictures reflected on the journey behind the scenes, sharing, “Finding Faith was a production of true love, trust and faith on so many levels. Assembling a great team is always the most important aspect to any production, and we have got a great team from top to bottom.”
Charles F. Porter II, Founder of Black Bench Productions, echoed the sentiment: “Matching LazRael Lison, our auteur, with a superb cast was the ideal recipe for this beautifully crafted film. Audiences across the country will cry, laugh and sing while enjoying the experience.”
Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Entertainment, praised the project as well: “Paula Patton and the stellar cast in Finding Faith deliver moving performances and an inspirational film that will resonate with audiences, and represents the kind of unique and compelling films Fathom brings to theatres.”
Behind the camera, the film was produced by Lison, Chekhova, Porter, and Patton herself. Executive production was led by Marlon D. Haynes, with publicity driven by Vaughn Alveraz of CR8 Agency, and strategic marketing powered by Kelvis Clyde Duffie and Michelle Duffie of D3 Entertainment.
The film’s global distribution is supported by K5 International, and Finding Faith will also appear at the Cannes Film Festival, signaling its impact on the international stage.
For those eager to experience Finding Faith, tickets will be available later this month at www.FathomEntertainment.com and participating theater box offices nationwide.
