After years of shaping the sound of modern worship behind the scenes, GRAMMY-nominated songwriter, producer, arranger, and worship leader ANTHNY is stepping into a new season with the announcement of his debut studio album, Worship Leader’s Diary.
Scheduled for release on September 25, 2026, through Sony Music/Provident Entertainment, the 13-track project marks a defining moment in ANTHNY’s career as he transitions from one of gospel music’s most trusted collaborators to a solo artist with a deeply personal message.
Written and produced entirely by ANTHNY, Worship Leader’s Diary blends contemporary worship with the rich, soulful influences of Christian R&B. More than a collection of songs, the album serves as a transparent reflection on faith, identity, purpose, and the emotional realities that often exist behind the platform.
“Worship Leader’s Diary is a collection of songs I’ve woven together through honest language and emotional melodies to highlight a young man’s relationship with God,” ANTHNY shared. “My life as a worship leader is used as a metaphor that others can hopefully find themselves in, no matter where they are in life, and begin a journey of reconnection and intimacy with God.”
The forthcoming project also boasts an impressive list of guest appearances from Kierra Sheard-Kelly, Naomi Raine, BJ The Chicago Kid, and Ahjah Walls, showcasing ANTHNY’s ability to bridge worship, gospel, and soul with some of today’s most influential voices. Fans will get another preview of the album with the upcoming single “Pass Me By” featuring BJ The Chicago Kid.
The announcement follows the release of “Imposter Syndrome,” a deeply introspective song that explores the emotional tension between leading worship publicly while privately wrestling with doubt, pressure, and purpose. The record ultimately points listeners toward repentance, healing, and trusting God’s calling.
ANTHNY’s journey to this moment has been years in the making. Beginning his career as a young touring musician alongside gospel legends Marvin Sapp, Tye Tribbett, and Bishop Paul Morton, he has since become one of the genre’s most respected creative forces. His résumé includes collaborations with Maverick City Music, Chandler Moore, and Travis Greene, along with writing the internationally recognized worship anthem “No Bondage” by Jubilee Worship.
