Two-time Emmy award-winning contemporary soul violinist, Damien Escobar, proudly announces the release of his fifth solo studio album, “GEMINI,” set to launch on Thursday, June 13, 2024, in celebration of his birthday. This highly anticipated album is a gift to his devoted fans, capturing the essence of his astrological sign and humorously paying homage to the “Gemini ways” he’s exhibited throughout his twenty-year musical career.

“GEMINI” is an 8-track masterpiece that encapsulates the highs and lows, the pivots, and the rollercoaster scenarios brought on by life’s surprises. Damien Escobar describes the album as “a fully expressed celebration of what it means to be a Gemini in every facet of the word. The first single from the album, “Taboo,” topped the Billboard Jazz Charts, resonating deeply with jazz aficionados worldwide. Following this success, Damien released the smash hit “Deja Vu,” featuring renowned keyboardist Jeff Lorber. Damien Escobar is a global phenomenon with numerous accolades, including two Emmys, a NAACP Image Award nomination, performances for four presidents, and millions of records sold. Over two decades, Escobar has redefined the classical music genre, pioneering a new breed of violinist. He has also overcome significant personal challenges, including depression and homelessness, and pivoted during the Covid pandemic to become the Chief Global Music Officer for advertising giant HAVAS, the first and only African American to hold this position.

Despite once losing his desire to create music, Damien has reignited his passion and sees “GEMINI” as proof that one can excel in multiple fields with perseverance and a clear mission for success.
