PERFECTION PERFECTED: Speak Out USA ” I AM” AWARDS IN OUR NATIONS CAPITAL!

Our nation’s capital, Washington D.C., hosted the “I AM” Awards on April 22nd at the Grand Hyatt . Award recipients are Black LGBTQ individuals and allies who have made significant contributions to improving the quality of life of minority LGBTQ communities, as well as those who have demonstrated commitment to social change. A new conversation about same-gender loving (SGL) has begun.).

There was no doubt that this was a top-tier event and one that was worth attending. In every aspect of the event, from the music to the food to the ambience, excellence was evident.

Antonio Driver, the organization’s founder, explained that his organization’s mission is to educate, support, and connect the LGBTQ+community of color through social media engagement, mentorship, personal empowerment, and health awareness.

SpeakOut has changed the lives of many people for the better. This was evident in the contagious and positive energy present at the “I Am” awards ceremony

Among the crowd were pioneers and individuals who were seeking change and were willing to act on it.

The “I AM” Awards were hosted by “P-Valley” Star, Nicco Annan and “POSE” on FX star, Jack Mizrahi.
