When you hear the words Determined, Underestimated, Optimistic you can pull up the face of a Star in the making Snubb3ds cover girl Kron Moore!
Passion for connecting with the human element of her audience, and evoking thought and emotion are her driving forces. Kron studied at The University of Alabama, graduating with a B.A. in Psychology. She continued her education and studied Film, Television and Radio Broadcasting, and graduated second in her class from Specs Howard School of Media Arts.
As a proud Detroit, MI native Kron looked up to many women including Wonder Women, who she said was her heroine. However, the core of greatness came from the women in her family. They were strong, sharp role models whom she loved and respected. This strength later brought forth this amazing actress we see today on the hit show Tyler Perry’s “The Oval”.
Kron Moore stars as FLOTUS ‘Victoria Franklin’ in “The Oval”. “The Oval” centers on newly-elected U.S. President Hunter Franklin and his family when they move into the White House, the nation’s most iconic residence. When we sat down with Kron and asked her what drew her to the part she plays on the Oval she said “I was intrigued by the character I play (Victoria Franklin) because of her complexity (some would suggest that she is a villainess). I’ve never had the opportunity to play such a layered television character, so it’s fun to make her come about.”
Planning for this part Moore had to get really quiet and centered to channel the pieces of Victoria. She said “Victoria is so multifaceted, so I really have to breathe her. It starts (once I’ve learned my lines) with my preparation to commute to the studio each day. When I wake up, I try to focus on embodying the character until we wrap for the day. “I feel connected to Victoria, in that she’s much more than meets the eye. We’re both extremely thoughtful and our actions are often mistaken/misunderstood.”
Fans will also recognize Kron from her recurring role as ‘Dr. Chapel’ in the DC Universe series “Stargirl,” her role as “Grace” in OWN’s 2019 series “David Makes Man” and her series regular role as ‘Nadine Sims’ in Amazon Prime’s “THEM.” Kron Moore has been appearing as a vocalist on albums and acting in stage and screen productions since 2005. She holds over 25 stage credits including ‘Nell’ in “Ain’t Misbehavin’,” ‘Barbara Cooke’ in “Triumph and Tragedy- The Life of Sam,” ‘Chiffon’ in “Little Shop of Horrors” and has performed in dozens of television commercials, industrial projects and voice-overs. Kron’s film credits include ‘Linney’ in “Beast Beast,” ‘Gloria’ in “Dinner for Two” and ‘Mrs. Blasky’ in “Into the Storm,” to name a few.
There is no much to look forward in Moore’s future. She has partnered with Silence the Shame, which is an Atlanta- based mental health support organization. “It’s important that those who suffer with mental health issues not only receive the education, help and resources they deserve, but that the stigma attached to mental illness is finally lifted. Mental health struggles touch each of our lives, in different ways. We need to embrace each other and do everything we can to be understanding, supportive and positively impactful.” Kron Moore said.
Also, in the future Kron is bringing something we here at Snubb3d are super excited about and hope she shares when it launches. “I’m planning the release of ‘Victorious by Kron’ in the near future. I’ve designed a custom fragrance and will share it via 2-in-1 candles (doubling as massage oil), each exclusively packaged in original, signature hand painted glass.” Sounds amazing!!
All in all, this talent encourages up and comings to stay true to yourself, be unrelentingly persistent, study your craft and understand that it takes years to create an overnight success.
