Inglewood recently rolled out the red carpet for a local hero, Dr. Marlo Nicole Richardson, who was celebrated in a grand ceremony hosted by Mayor James T. Butts and the City of Inglewood. Hailing from this vibrant city, Dr. Richardson’s incredible journey from local roots to national acclaim was acknowledged with heartfelt admiration.

Raised in the heart of Inglewood, Dr. Richardson has used her experiences to shape a remarkable career in business and entrepreneurship. Known for her dedication to community service and empowering the next generation, she’s truly a beacon of success. The city’s proclamation highlighted her numerous achievements and tireless commitment to making a positive difference.

Dr. Richardson’s journey began in law enforcement, where she climbed the ranks to become a police lieutenant. Meanwhile, her entrepreneurial spirit soared as she dove into real estate at just 21. Her achievements didn’t stop there—she became the first Black woman appointed to chair the CA State Licensing Board under Governor Jerry Brown.

Her entrepreneurial ventures are just as impressive. From launching popular lounges and entertainment spots like Berris and Stage 21 to new endeavors such as “California Vintage Wine Bistro” and “Braymar Wines,” Dr. Richardson is a force to be reckoned with. Her latest collaboration with Big League Hospitality Group at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood showcases her continued innovation and success.

But Dr. Richardson’s impact goes beyond business. Her initiatives like Business Bullish and Generational Wealth Builders Worldwide focus on education and youth empowerment, training future entrepreneurs and ensuring a lasting legacy of success.
